This conference will be the first International meeting entirely focused on a comprehensive spectrum of issues and disciplines related to early identification and treatment of auditory dysfunctions in adults and elderly.

The conference will include keynote addresses by top-notch scientists and clinicians as well as platform and poster presentations by colleagues from throughout the world. This event will also establish a truly international forum networking scientists, clinical researchers, technicians and health care professionals in the area of early intervention of adult hearing loss.

-  Prevalence of hearing loss and auditory dysfunction
-  Basic research: Auditory neuroscience, Anatomy and physiology of the auditory system, Acoustics and psychoacoustics, Speech perception: psychophysical and physiological issues, Cognition, language, neural plasticity, Modeling of the ear and hearing, Signal processing
-  Aging factors and degenerative neurologic disorders
-  Behavioral, Physiologic & Aetiological assessment
-  Screening methods and techniques
-  Risk factors & Susceptibility
-  Changes in speech, language and cognition
-  Assessment and treatment of speech and communication disorders
-  Hearing & balance problems
-  Intervention strategies
-  Development of Hearing Aids, fitting strategies
-  Development of hearing devices and instrumentation
-  Issues on education and training

Important dates:
Abstract submission: February 15, 2010;
Notification of acceptance: March 30, 2010;
Early registration and hotel reservation: April 15, 2010
